The Talent Acquisition Consultant will support the organization in achieving its business and people objectives by understanding the brand, defining and targeting the candidate audience, attracting a pool of talented candidates, building positive candidate and business relationships while using key metrics to drive continuous improvement.

You bring:

  • A post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or related discipline
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, including an in-depth understanding of social recruiting and other contemporary recruitment and selection methods
  • Experience consulting with the business to ensure business alignment, examine workforce plans, understand labour markets, and look at internal succession
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive candidate experience, managing candidate communities, and maintaining relationships for those candidates not selected
  • The ability to define and understand the local markets and apply different sourcing strategies based on the understanding of the roles, and determine where the talent will come from to fill them
  • An awareness of emerging trends and best practices in talent management to proactively recommends changes to existing/historical practices to increase value-add to the business
  • The ability to develop relationships with educational institutions, agencies and third parties to enhance our brand, and reach target talent networks
  • Strong communication and influencing skills in working with candidates, business unit leaders and HR team
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, and proactive engagement to deliver high impact talent solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude and experience working with technology and various software programs
  • Previous Insurance/Financial Services experience would be an asset
  • Bilingual fluency (English & French) is an asset

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Regular Full Time/Regular Part Time employees must have been in their current role for a minimum of one year or as otherwise specified in the employment offer contract.
  • Temporary or Casual employees must wait until one month prior to the end of their assignment before applying.
  • The employee must be demonstrating acceptable performance.
