Job Description: This is a regular full-time position.
The Senior Mail Clerk is responsible for providing efficient, timely and focused mail distribution support to the Group Health and Dental Benefit Payment Office. This is an active role as opposed to a strictly computer-based job. The overall objective is to be able to assist in the delivery of prompt and excellent service to its clients by adhering to deadlines and departmental standards.
- Receive, identify, track and distribute all incoming mail
- Open, sort and deliver mail
- Receive, send and distribute faxes
- Complete x-ray letters
- Handle all couriers
Qualifications and Competencies :
- Grade 12 equivalent is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Experienced user of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Strong self-motivation and can work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to adapt to change in a positive manner
- Proactive and a team player
- Overtime as required
