Operations Assistant- Hard Rock Casino Vancouver

Under the direction of the Assistant General Managers, the Operations Assistant will assist with “Making it Happen” in terms of all assigned projects and tasks. This Team Member will liaison with various departmental leaders, Internal Stakeholders, and External Stakeholders in business related matters. The successful candidate will bring an outgoing attitude, an attention to details background, and a solid communication skill set to the Hard Rock Team.

Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting in planning and delivery of casino projects

Liaising with internal departments as well as external stakeholders to disseminate information as required

Preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes, creating PowerPoint presentations

Creating and preparing Project Plans, Run of Shows, and debriefs

Analyzing business data as required and preparing summaries as needed

Maintaining and organizing project logs, files, and other record keeping

Assisting with correspondence, contracts, and other written documents

Interacting with vendors on project details

Engaging and motivating team members with regards to casino projects

Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Post Secondary education in a business field or suitable combination of education and experience is as asset

Computer literacy in MS Office, including strong proficiency in MS Outlook and PowerPoint

Have access to reliable transportation

Ability to be adaptable and flexible with work schedule (will be expected to work occasional evenings and weekends during promotional events)

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right certificate

The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
