Elements Casino Victoria is looking for our next great team member to join our Marketing department as a Marketing Assistant (Co-Op) for a 6—12 month contract. Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager this position will be responsible for assisting and the coordination of the Marketing department administrative duties. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintains the digital filing system
  • Edit, proof-read and or create documents (marketing material, correspondence, policies, forms, presentations and reports)
  • Order all sponsorship, donation in kind, silent auction items for community events
  • Coordinate logistics for all community sponsored events such as Street Teams or golf tournaments
  • Actively recruit team members to volunteer for community events
  • Carry our administrative tasks of various natures, such as expense management, reporting, ordering office supplies, initiating purchase orders and invoice reconciliations
  • Maintain and track all Marketing material such as posters, brochures, vouchers and rack cards
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant working with the management team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, handle stress in a consistently changing work environment and multi-task various projects and/or situations under pressure
  • Able to demonstrate e a high level of responsibility and display good judgment, accuracy and discretion
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service orientated communication
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development and growth
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Flexibility in hours and days may be required
