We are currently seeking an energetic and guest focused Human Resources professional to join our team. The HR Administrator will administer and coordinate Human Resources services including database input and maintenance, com-pensation and total rewards coordination, recruitment, training and on-boarding initiatives, health and safety, ordering of gaming / office supplies and supporting the Human Resources team by performing various other duties.

Our Administrator, Human Resources will report to the Manager, Human Resources and will be required to provide ongoing support to all team members. This position requires flexibility for scheduling including occasional evenings, week-ends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing general Payroll administration such as: anniversary increases, Payroll Discrepancy Forms etc., within established payroll period close deadlines
  • Processing Payroll Change Forms, address changes, etc. for the site, JD Edwards data entry and maintaining site files for all hourly and salaried team members
  • Handling all GPEB and background check applications as required
  • Providing administrative support by: maintaining and updating procedures, maintaining HR site filing systems, responding to employment verifications, and any general external enquiries
  • Maintaining bulletin boards, HR forms, and other communication vehicles. Ensuring announcements are posted and taken down in a timely fashion
  • Coordinating interoffice mail and site lockers
  • Ordering and distributing gaming and office supplies for all departments in addition to cleanliness of the copy room and common areas
  • Creating and developing internal and external correspondence as needed
  • Assisting with various activities, events or projects to ensure smooth daily operational workflow
  • Administering and coordinating internal rewards and recognition programs
  • Assisting with recruitment or on-boarding tasks as necessary to ensure a smooth process for new hires
  • Updating the site directory
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary diploma/certificate in Human Resources or a suitable combination of education and experience
  •  Office or HR experience preferred
  • Experience in Labour Relations an asset
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, strong communication & organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and HR information systems. JD Edwards experience an asset
  • Proven track-record of responsiveness and meeting deadlines
  • Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
  • The Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right License
  • The ability to successfully obtain a GPEB tag
