As an senior accountant your responsibilities will include:
• Working with a broad range of small business, charity and not-for-profit clients
• Preparing year-end financial statements and working paper files for review and notice to reader engagements
• Accounting and bookkeeping including drafting journal entries and reconciling accounts
• Regular preparation of tax filings including personal, corporate, trust, charity and NPO returns

The skills and behaviours required for this position include:
• Practical, public accounting experience serving not-for-profit and owner-managed businesses
• Experience with Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting is an asset
• Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills
• Solid analytical skills including ability to identify unusual transactions or accounts and ask questions to clarify understanding
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Client service focus, demonstrated initiative and a team player
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
