The Web Services department at MacEwan University is currently seeking a motivated, energetic individual for a Web Graphic Designer position. This position is responsible for the design and creation of web graphics for the MacEwan.ca website and other online presences. The designer is a member of the Web Services department and works closely with the other team members, contributing to project plans and ongoing development of web design items.

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of design principles and knowledge of UI/UX design, knowledge of best practices regarding design for responsive websites, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in problem solving and decision-making, ability to interact professionally with stakeholders and team members, and experience working in a collaborative environment. Candidates must have good instincts and common sense and be comfortable with varying levels of creative freedom. The successful candidate must also be well organized, able to cope with multiple events, able to prioritize and complete tasks in a time-sensitive manner, and able to work in a busy team environment. Familiarity with project management and managing aspects of a project is an asset. Must be highly skilled in InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, scanning software and font management.

Applicants must have a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field. A minimum of four to five years of graphic design employment is required, including work on web and print publications. Self-employed experience is considered.
