Grand Prairie Regional College Maintenance Worker Temporary in Grande Prairie, AB

Campus Operations requires Maintenance Helpers to assist in the areas of building maintenance, furniture moves, painting, assisting trades person in conducting preventative maintenance checks on various areas of the building, and furniture repairs.

MAJOR DUTIES

Service Calls, Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance

• Execute general maintenance duties
• Replace ceiling tiles and repair T-bar ceiling grids.
• Replace light bulbs as required.
• Auger sewer lines and clean grease traps.
• Assist in ceramic tile repairs and installations.
• Make repairs to damaged plaster finish.
• Prepare for painting offices, classrooms and hallways;
• Clean work areas and other others with the College from clutter.
• Assist with renovations.
• Clean camera domes on roof-top security cameras.
• Coordinate requirements for special events.

Assist Campus Operations Staff

• Assist the Electricians.
• Assist the Maintenance Technicians with daily duties.
• Assist with and lead event setups/takedowns.
• Assist the Grounds Maintenance Staff

Other Duties

Complete work orders and time cards with hours worked and costs related.

Grade 12, and maintenance experience is preferred. The ideal candidates must be mature professionals, have a personable demeanor, and be self-starters who can work independently.

Salary $25.00 per hour
