: 036 Social Services Salary Range: $31.967-$40.058 Hourly Grade: SGEU.10. The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled Training Coordinator in the Income Assistance Service Delivery (IASD) branch, located in Regina and Saskatoon. The Ministry works with citizens as they build better lives for themselves through economic independence, strong families, and strong community organizations.
Reporting to the Manager, Learning and Accountability, you will be required to develop and deliver training to the Income Assistance Service Delivery branch and all its managers, supervisors, and front-line employees as well as internal and external stakeholders when necessary. You will assist in the development and implementation of learning programs; deliver and demonstrate best practices in achieving adult learning. The successful candidate will provide guidance and coaching to staff to ensure effective, compassionate, and non-judgmental client service to individuals with varying needs, issues, and concerns.
To be successful in this position, you will have comprehensive knowledge of effective and innovative adult learning methodologies and strategies, be a leader with a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to multiple demands; be proficient in developing and maintaining professional relationships with senior managers and staff; be results oriented and accountable with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment; and have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. The ability to access, retrieve, input, and process information using various databases is key. Knowledge of income assistance or similar programs would be an asset.
Typically, the successful candidate will have significant management and leadership experience and will have obtained the knowledge and abilities required for this position through a university degree(s) in Education, Adult Education, or a related field and experience in designing and delivering adult learning.
