If you answered “yes” to the questions above then the Public Service Commission (PSC) has an exciting opportunity for you to join one of its Human Resource Service Teams as a Manager of Human Resource Services. In this role, you will lead a team of HR professionals providing a range of human resource services to your client ministry. You will be part of the management team that works together to plan and implement innovative human resource services and lead service delivery improvement initiatives.
You will possess expertise in the principles and practices of human resource management including labour relations, staffing, classification and strategic human resource planning and organizational design/development. Your strategic orientation, excellent team and relationship building skills and ability to build leadership and management capacity in clients will contribute to your success in this role. Cross team collaboration will be critical to the effectiveness of the Human Resource Service Team and PSC overall.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be acquired through a bachelor’s degree specializing in human resource management, with progressive and diverse experience in the human resource management field. An IPMA-CP/CS, CHRP or equivalent designation would be an asset.
