Salary Range: $6,020 – $7,825 Monthly
Are you a highly motivated, well organized, client service oriented individual with exceptional leadership and management skills? Are you looking for a unique and challenging opportunity? As the Executive Assistant you will report directly to the Assistant Deputy Ministers (ADMs) of Design and Construction, and of Policy and Planning. You will be an integral member of the Deputy Minister’s office, working closely with executive managers, representing the ADM’s Office on inter-branch projects in the ministry as well as inter-ministry committee projects, and play a lead role in delivery of the Ministry’s Strategic Plan.
In this key role, you will draft and review internal and public documents; and manage various corporate projects on behalf of the ADMs. You will prepare and review briefing material, and reports on major programs, delivery and administrative issues; and provide advice to the ADMs on complex corporate and division issues, both technical and policy related.

Our ideal candidate would typically have (any or combination of) relevant experience, a degree in public administration, project management, engineering, public policy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
In this role you will have knowledge of, or provide the following services:
Manage and coordinate emerging issues, public concernsissues and general inquiries on behalf of the ministry related to division issues;
Determine the action required on internal and external materials directed to the ADMs, directly or through the Deputy Minister’s Office;
Participate in Executive Management Committee meetings by assisting with appropriate follow up and ensuring that administration of decision items are complete and approved by the ADMs;
Participate in Executive and Senior Leadership meetings, which involves discussion in the planning and delivery of sensitive and confidential Human Resources, policy, budgetary and program delivery issues;
Have a general understand of planning and policy issues, highway design and construction;
Legislation and regulations;
Government protocols, policies and procedures including Cabinet decisions and processes;
Decision making processes within government; and local, provincial and federal infrastructure
