The Ministry of Finance, Financial Systems Branch, is seeking a highly motivated and results oriented individual to join its MIDAS Financial Team as a Configuration Analyst within the MIDAS Accounts Payable and Supply Chain area.
In this position you will be responsible
for providing a combination of business and technical system analysis, design and system configuration, procedure/process development, client help-desk support and training. You will consult and communicate as a business expert in the system execution of accounts payable functions such as invoice, i-Expense, payment and accounting processing, interfaces, supplier maintenance, inquiry and reporting and period-end reconciliation.
As a Configuration Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating requirements (client needs, new enhancements, Oracle system patches), recommending solutions, designing system changes, modifying reports, working closely with ITD developers in system development and testing changes to ensure continued accurate financial processing.
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills are required to evaluate and resolve complex systems issues. You will use your strong written and verbal communication skills to develop a variety of documents such as project plans, technical requirements, and procedure guides in order to communicate this information with both technical and non-technical internal and external clients. Furthermore, you must have excellent facilitation and presentation skills to conduct training and information gathering sessions for large groups of people.
Typically the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through a degree in computer science and/or business administration. Experience in MIDAS Accounts Payable applications, related MIDAS Accounts Payable business processes and running SQL/Toad queries would be considered an asset.

Hours of Work
A – SGEU Office 36 – one day off every two weeks
