Are you a recent graduate eager to develop, expand and share your knowledge of the agriculture industry? Are you ready to develop marketing, communications, and program strategies to advance the agriculture sector’s growth? Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is offering a two-year term position as an Agriculture Awareness Intern; the position will offer diverse and challenging opportunities for professional growth.

The Agriculture Awareness Intern will implement the Ministry’s Agriculture Awareness Strategy through the promotion, development and delivery of resources, experiences and programs to build public trust in modern agriculture. As the successful candidate, you will provide leadership and enable stakeholders to build awareness around the ‘what, how and why’ of Saskatchewan agriculture. You will manage the Ministry’s Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship and Global Youth Institute programs. You will develop original and engaging content for the Ministry’s traditional and social media channels as well as prepare internal documents including briefing notes and correspondence. You will also support the planning and execution of Agriculture Month celebrations and thinkAG career exploration initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for research and analysis of emerging issues impacting public trust and strategies to address them. You will also provide innovative approaches to ensure service excellence.

You will work closely with external and internal stakeholders on strategies to enhance awareness efforts, build appreciation for the sector across governments, and secure partnerships to provide enlightening educational experiences for students and consumers.

To qualify for this position you must have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in agriculture, business, communications or a related field within the last three years and possess knowledge of the agriculture industry.
