Leverage your analytical prowess to build technical capacity in Alberta’s education system, as the new Technology Reporting Analyst (TRA)!
As the TRA, you’ll gather and analyze data to maintain school authority technology profiles that inform the current technical capacity of our education system. You’ll identify trends, gaps, issues and opportunities, to help the Learning Technology Leadership branch reach the outcomes set forth in the Learning and Technology Policy Framework (2013). With your analyses, you’ll make recommendations to inform the decisions of management and school authorities that are tasked with ensuring that the proper technological infrastructure is in place to support student learning with technology.
What makes you the ideal candidate? You possess well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills to synthesize and analyze complex information, identify key issues, solve problems, document new business needs and contribute to developing and evaluating viable solutions. Communicating and presenting information comes naturally to you, including the ability to develop reports and findings for senior decision makers. Systems thinking skills, including the ability to recognize broader implications of data and information will serve you well in this role.
Qualifications
– University graduation in a related field such as Management Information Systems (MIS), business administration, statistics, or economics. Equivalencies may be considered.
– Knowledge and experience using Microsoft software, and/or other database programs is required.
– Experience in communicating qualitative and quantitative statistical information/data to inform policy or business is an asset.
– Previous experience in business process and data modelling and databases is desirable.
– Knowledge of and experience with the technological needs of students within a K-12 school authority would be an asset.
– Certification in Business Analysis would be considered an asset.

Salary
$2,259.36 to $2,936.75 bi-weekly. $58,969.30 to $76,649.18 annually.
