The Capital Market Branch is looking for a Senior Treasury Analyst and this could be you!

Reporting to the Director, Debt Operations and Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for participating in government borrowing program transactions, which includes both money market (short-term) and term debt issuance activities, coordinating credit rating agency reviews and responding to rating agency inquires, updating required legal and disclosure documents (including filings), as well as other material financial updates, in support of the Province’s debt programs and investor relations activates. You will be leading projects focused on improving automation, operational efficiency and governance in the Capital Markets area; and when required assisting other areas of the Capital Markets unit in term debt settlement and payment processing to ensure continuity of treasury services during vacations and leaves.

To be successful in this role, you will be utilizing your strong interpersonal and conflict management skills to deal with a variety of internal, external and foreign stakeholders, as well as both technical and non-technical from a variety of professional fields to support the daily operations such as Investment and Debt Accounting, Budget Development and Reporting, Financial Services and Banking.

Qualifications

University degree in Commerce, Finance or related field plus two years of related experience. Specializations in Economics or Risk Management may be considered.

Enrolment in or completion of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) programs would be ideal.

Direct capital markets and project experience, including working with Treasury systems (such as Bloomberg) would be considered assets.

Experience in areas of forecasting, analysis and modeling is preferred.

Salary

$2,360.34 to $3,241.54 bi-weekly ($61,604 to $84,604 annually)
