The Senior Research and Policy Analyst plays a key role in supporting division research and program policy including special projects and initiatives. The position is responsible for full scope policy research, planning, development, and implementation. In addition, the role will be required to coordinate, lead, and support division analytics, evaluation, and performance measurement. Furthermore, the role will represent the ministry on internal, cross-ministry, and external teams.
As the successful candidate, your exceptional analytical and project management skills coupled with your ability to interpret and synthesize information, will allow you to effectively manage projects and find innovative solutions to complex issues. Building collaborative relationships with stakeholders and clients will be key to your success in this role.
University graduation in social sciences or related field, supplemented by four years related experience in a complex research and/or policy environment. Data analytics and performance measurement/evaluation experience is mandatory. Knowledge of trends and current issues related to seniors and the aging population in Alberta and Canada is an asset. Experience leading complex projects involving diverse stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams is preferred. Proficient use in Microsoft office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Proficiency using data sources such as Statistics Canada as well as data analysis software experience (e.g. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) or Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) are considered assets.
$2,775.64 to $3,638.48 Bi-weekly
This is a thirteen month temporary salaried opportunity.
Secondments will be considered.
