Reporting to the Regional Infrastructure Team lead, you will be responsible for leading the completion of assigned major repair and refurbishment projects within Central Region, Parks Division. As the successful candidate, you will be tasked with building renovations, repair and/or construction of roads and trails, repair and/or installation of water lines, refurbishment of campsites, and other general facility repairs. You will complete this work by contracting appropriate trades and service providers and by working with in-house infrastructure program wage staff. You will be required to develop, award and oversee required contracts as well as monitor and take corrective action to ensure contracted work is completed as per contract requirements. You will also supervise and direct staff to ensure work is completed according to specified standards and in a safe and efficient manner.


A two year technical diploma in a related field and a valid Class 5 driver’s license are required. Experience in general trades and skills required designing, constructing, repairing and maintaining common park infrastructure and operating equipment is preferred. Equivalencies will be considered.

You will also use your agility skills to ensure work is completed in a safe, cost efficient manner within Alberta’s short outdoor construction season.


$2,169.79 to $2,802.61 bi-weekly ($56,631 to $73,148 annually), salary includes a 10.34% modifier based on a 40-hour work week.


This position may be used to fill future vacancies across the Government of Alberta, and candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
