Are you looking for an opportunity to use your expertise and training skills to help transform Alberta Agriculture and Forestry’s (AF) Information Management practices?

Reporting to the Director, Information Management and Innovation within the Information Management and Innovation Section, the Information Management Training and Compliance Specialist will be working, as part of a project team, to implement AF’s Enterprise Information Management (EIM) system. The position is responsible for designing and facilitating education and on-going training on information management, records management and knowledge management technology systems for AF. You will use your education and experience to develop curriculum, lead the development of education tools, and facilitate training for all AF staff to ensure understanding of EIM best practices and technology.

The Information Management Training and Compliance Specialist will also be involved in change management initiatives within the department to facilitate adoption of innovative processes, procedures and technology. As well, in partnership with business units and IT, you will determine effective governance and design for web-based information environments. The continuing transition from a primarily paper-based record keeping environment to an electronic information management/knowledge management environment contributes to the complexity and diversity of issues and the strategies that must be pursued.

Qualifications

– A university degree in a related field (e.g., Information Management, Communications, Communications Technology, Business Administration, Information Technology, Library Sciences, and/or Computer Sciences in records management) is required combined with at least 4 years of demonstrated progressively responsible related experience.

– Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
– 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
– 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Salary

$2,775.64 to $3,638.48 bi-weekly
$72,444.20 to $ 94,964.32 annual

This is a full time permanent position, located in Edmonton Alberta.
