Join an excellent team and contribute to the effective functioning of our Whitecourt office. North Central Region is looking to fill the role of Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Administrative Team Lead, you will be responsible for the administrative support of essential Child Intervention programs that include, but are not limited to: Core Protection, Family Enhancement, Foster Care and Adoptions. It is essential that you gain a thorough understanding of the programs you support and will be required to perform duties related to each program that could include computer entry, data processing, information entry in a timely manner, word processing of reports and letters as requested, financial processing and tracking, filing on a weekly basis, responding to client inquiries and other administrative support duties as required for the office. Experience working with Microsoft Office programs is essential as you will need to apply your skills in computer programs, accounting, and word processing. Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and time management skills will be required in your daily duties to be effective in this role.
High School diploma and one year recent related office administration experience required.
Government of Alberta administrative experience may be considered an asset. Experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & Outlook is required. Experience doing Accounts Payable; Filing and Data Entry are considered an asset. If you possess any or all of these qualifications please note them in your resume.
$1,536.57 to $1,869.84 Bi-weekly
Final candidates for this position will be asked to provide a Child Intervention Record Check and a Criminal Record Check. Some travel may be required so the successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. This competition may be used to fill current and future vacancies across North Central Alberta.
