The Common Services Transformation Branch is currently focusing on several large pieces of work, namely, designing and implementing an integrated, citizen-centred service delivery approach to improve the achievement of client outcomes and maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency.

As a business analyst, you will support the gathering, analysis and knowledge transfer about social-based programming and service delivery to inform the strategic design, technical integration and implementation of the Citizen Centred Integrated Service Delivery (CCISD) model in Human Services and future transformation initiatives. You will explore leading edge practices that could inform the transformation of Human Services and conduct environmental scans, jurisdictional reviews and collect data to inform business redesign. You will build strategic relationships in Human Services and across the GOA to share information, identify roadblocks and opportunities to align efforts to achieve shared outcomes.

As an ideal candidate, you will have excellent analytical skills, experience in knowledge mobilization and proven success in developing and maintaining positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stake-holders.

Qualifications

University degree or diploma in a related field of social sciences, business, economics or related field, with at least two years’ related experience is required. Broad knowledge of relevant legislation, Human Services programs and operations is required. Experience with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required. Familiarity with SharePoint is an asset. Business Analyst Certificate and/or Project Management experience is desirable. Equivalencies will be considered.

Salary

$2,588.03 to $3,394.66 bi-weekly

Notes

There is one permanent and one year temporary position available.

Final candidates may be required to undergo a security screening. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same classification level across the Government of Alberta.
