The Senior Administrative Assistant (AS 6) role provides an excellent opportunity to have your skills at the senior executive administrative support level! You will support three Executive Directors (People and Culture, Information and Related Technology, Stakeholder Engagement), their team members, and the Executive Office Manager. Responsibilities include word processing; records management; coordinating meetings, appointments and travel; completing expense claims and website expense reports; and project assignments. You will also compile, review and assess documents and correspondence for the Executive Directors and Senior Management Team.
The Administrative Assistant (AS 4) role will act as a floater providing key support to the administrative team within the Office of the Auditor General. Responsibilities include daily scheduled and vacation cover off for reception; daily assistance to the Audit Team Assistants, including word processing; coordination documents and compiling meeting packages; records management; coordinating meetings, appointments and travel; completing expense claims and website expense reports; and special project assignments. Flexibility and high standards are key components of this growth position.
General requirements for both roles
In-depth knowledge of administrative procedures and ability to work with minimal supervision to create and maintain administrative systems is required. The ideal candidates have well developed written and verbal communication, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines. These capabilities are essential to your success in this multifaceted role within our high profile legislative office environment. You must have the aptitude to learn in-house project management software.
The competence to handle multiple projects and the confidence to work with limited supervision and effectively solve problems on your own while staying organized under pressure, is a must.

arranging meetings and travel
completing expense claim reports
formatting a variety of correspondence
maintaining and enhancing office administrative systems
preparing minutes/agendas and completing administrative functions of the office
maintain a filing system
Qualifications
Senior Administrative Assistant (AS 6) :
High School diploma plus a minimum of four years of related administrative work experience at the senior administrative level. Two-year Office Administration diploma or related education is preferred. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe and Visio). Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Equivalencies will be considered.
Administrative Assistant (AS 4) :
High School diploma plus a minimum of two years of related administrative work experience. Two-year Office Administration diploma or related education is preferred. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe and Visio). Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Equivalencies will be considered.
