Operations Coordinator – Canwest Propane Partnership

Business Unit: Propane Marketing & Distribution
Canwest Propane, a Gibson Energy Company, is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our Armstrong Branch. The primary purpose of this position is to effectively work within a team environment and be responsible for the dispatching of all propane deliveries efficiently. Also to ensure all required non-propane inventories are kept at required levels while ensuring proper inventory turnover is at an acceptable level.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strong working relationship with customers
- Involvement in the processing of sales invoices, work orders, lease agreements, and payments for customers.
- Process customer requests for propane purchases.
- Make collection calls for overdue accounts prior to deliveries when required.
- Respond in a professional manner to all customer requests, inquiries and complaints.
- Completion of monthly reports and reconciliation as required.
- Completion of documents regarding asset control and equipment inventory, as required.
- Continue to grow our other non-propane sales and increase our rental revenues.
- Schedule gas fitters work and do quotes for customers
- Other assigned duties and project work.
KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
- Self motivated, able to perform well under pressure.
- Ensure product supply orders are dispatched on a timely basis.
- Ability to work well with other employees, and communicate clearly with customers and the Branch Manager.
- Complete knowledge of propane operating procedures to safely and effectively produce expected budget results.
- Gain complete knowledge of markets area; e.g., competitors, potential, geographic conditions.
- Adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Essential Work Experience):
- Minimum 2 years’ propane experience or trucking industry background.
- Experience in inside sales.
- Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Capability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written, to meet all assignments.
- Standard First Aid and WHMIS
