GeoDigital International Inc. (“GDI”) is a data capture and mapping company providing services to the infrastructure industry. We currently have 4 offices located across North America.

This is a temporary position though the end of 2015. Training provided.

Summary:

The Data Analyst is responsible for the Quality Assurance /Quality Control of post-acquisition LiDAR data in preparation for final product generation.

Tasks:

• Feature coding – 2D / 3D feature coding of collected LiDar data
• Plainmetric collection – Using MicroStation to create vectors for mapping purposes
• PLS – CADD modeling – Creation of the CADD file using weather, line load etc.
• Meteo reports – Creation of weather reports
• PLS – CADD project and .bak file – creation of the final deliverables for clients

Qualifications:

• A commitment to quality and thorough approach to the work
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Strong technical aptitude
• Experience with CADD related software would be considered an asset
• Experience with any of the following technologies is an asset: MicroStation, ArcGIS, PLS – CADD, TerraSolid Applications
• Knowledge of Geography, GIS and Geomatics is desirable
• Solid understanding of geodetic datum and projection transformation principles is desirable
• Ability to adapt and quickly learn how to use new software tools and approaches to enable you to complete work in an efficient manner.
