Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale/disposal of all REO (Real Estate Owned) properties across the country conveyed to Genworth Canada
  • Develop strong relationships with preferred suppliers to ensure all aspects of the property are reviewed and positioned for an effective sale
  • Analyze appraisals and Realtor monthly activity reports to determine the most pro-active approach to listing and selling the property
  • Ensure listing agents provide accurate information regarding the value and potential sale price of all REO properties.
  • Identify the appropriate list price and minimal sale price of all REO properties based on current market trends
  • Analyze monthly marketing reports and make concise decisions on how to proceed with the sale of each REO property
  • Negotiate all offers received on REO properties to maximize highest price to mitigate losses for Genworth.
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance to ensure Genworth is using top rated vendors to secure the sale of all REO properties.
  • Source new Realtors selecting only those that can meet the requirements and expectations of Genworth preferred Realtors
  • If required, conduct site visit of REO properties when issues arise or to mitigate high ratio loses to Genworth.
  • Meet or exceed metrics established by Genworth including list to sale amount, days to list, days to sell and days to close
  • Work closely with Loss Mitigation act as a resource for unique or harder to sell properties
  • Share market trends to proactively identify markets of concern

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in the real estate industry
  • Comprehensive and hands on knowledge of real estate rules and regulations.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, interpersonal, presentation and computer skills
  • Ability to produce results with minimum supervision, in a fast paced change environment
  • Organizational and problem solving / analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
