Garmin Cochrane is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join its Personal Monitoring Product Performance team. Use your organizational and analytical skills to coordinate and perform field testing for a range of products in all stages of development

  • Assist with coordination of product testing including recruiting testers, booking facilities and maintaining equipment
  • Conduct data collection sessions according to established test protocols
  • Record, enter and download data accurately
  • Analyze data using internally developed processing tools
  • Document test results and communicate with internal product developers


  • Monitor public product forums for user feedback – communicate to internal product developers
  • Research, develop and implement test strategies for sensor products
  • Development of basic data analysis tools
  • Perform other duties as necessary


  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Kinesiology, Science, Health Sciences, Physical Education or a substantially similar field relevant for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate some evening and weekend test sessions
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Ability to carry up to 30 pounds of equipment


  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience coordinating research and data collection with human volunteers
  • Previous experience working in a team environment
  • Access to a vehicle that can be used to perform testing
  • Personal passion for fitness, health and wellness
