This position description assumes that the individual has satisfied all basic requirements for employment by G4S Secure Solutions (Canada) Inc., including, but not limited to: criminal police information check (CPIC) credit reference, background check, minimum age, and minimum education (high school diploma or foreign equivalency, or earned GED). The individual in this position is required to follow any other instructions and perform any other duties requested by this position’s management.

Role Responsibility:

This position is responsible to support the operational and administrative needs of the branch including recruitment, screening and selection of billable staff. This role ensures that an appropriate pool of candidates is sourced and maintained to meet current and future manpower requirements. Also, this position will order and distribute uniforms while maintaining an accurate inventory.

  • Conduct and/or oversee all recruitment related activities for District/Branch Office including: Sourcing, Advertising, Recruitment Fairs, Social Media Advertising and other innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure that all applicants are prescreened, evaluated and processed in accordance with G4S recruitment compliance practices and procedures.
  • Meet regularly with Scheduler, Operations Manager, for proper placement, overtime control and forecasting/meeting the staffing needs of the Branch.
  • Co-ordinate uniform requirements for existing staff and uniform new guards in accordance to Company standards
  • Associated administrative duties and responsibilities including offer letters, new hire documentation and orientation
  • May be required to facilitate onboarding/orientation programs for new employees

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Completion of a College Diploma (Business or Human Resources Preferred)
  • Minimum one year work-related experience in a human resources recruitment role within a staffing agency or security industry environment is required.
  • Expertise in the application of legislation including employment standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Employment Equity and Privacy Legislation

Skills Required:

  • Completion of a College Diploma (Business or Human Resources Preferred)
  • Minimum one year work-related experience in a human resources recruitment role, within a staffing agency or security industry environment is required.
  • Expertise in the application of legislation including Employment Standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Employment Equity, and Privacy Legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Other Related Attributes that Would Enhance Hiring Considerations:

  • Bilingualism, French /English would be an asset.
  • Professional recruitment certification or equivalent is an asset.
  • Prior security-related management experience in a national environment.
  • Experience supervising in a unionized workforce is an asset
  • Previous experience implementing and managing an Applicant Tracking System.
