Ungar currently operates two busy service shops in the town of Theodore. We currently have a position opening for an individual who wants to work in a mid sized company located in a rural community close to Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate enjoys, and is proficient at Heavy Equipment repair. This is an opportunity to grow with a grass roots organization that is continually improving and striving to be great. Position Purpose: Responsible for repair and maintenance of Heavy Equipment, as well as client equipment when required.

Key Duties:

- Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to all heavy equipment as well as transportation related equipment to ensure machinery is available for operations;

- Review any equipment reports submitted by operators, record actions/repairs taken, and maintain a repair log as per G.Ungar Construction policy;

- Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance on equipment, document, and follow up with a solution;

- Comply with G Ungar Construction procedures regarding safety when working on equipment (i.e. Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding and required documentation, safe work environment, etc.)

- Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area.


- High School education or equivalent required; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.

- A minimum of 2 years previous heavy equipment repair preferred;

- Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision;

- Adopt and implement G Ungar Construction quality control standards.
