As a member of the Product Marketing department, the PM-Operator has a multifunction role that includes answering incoming calls for Product Marketing and transferring them to the appropriate Marketers and Managers, as well as providing clerical assistance to the business units for reports and project based tasks.
The PM-Operator also works in conjunction with the Marketing Price Support (MPS) team in processing requests to suppliers for improved pricing (locals) and / or renewal of pricing contracts (SSD’s). He/she will interface with suppliers as well as various internal departments and assist the Marketing Price Support team on a regular basis while always maintaining the focus on their primary responsibility which is the handling of incoming calls.
Responsibilities
Answering and transferring incoming calls, with the ultimate objective of finding a “live voice” for the caller.
Light administrative duties for (but not limited to) the business units including reports, projects using Microsoft Office programs, the booking of conference rooms, confirming travel arrangements for the unit managers.
Work closely with assigned Marketing Price Support group in any / all of the following areas :
Effectively qualify pricing requests (locals) to ensure they meet the standards required by our Marketing teams. Prepare and submit locals to suppliers using the appropriate supplier system tools.
Convert local requests to debits and update our internal systems with the appropriate documentation.
Assist with the weekly renewal of SSD’s through timely communication with supplier.
Maintain an organized and efficient follow up protocol with suppliers.
Proactively monitor the work queues to see where assistance is most required.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous reception/office experience would be an asset
Fluently bilingual
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) and ability to navigate web based systems
Solid organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to priorities and multitask effectively
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
