Due to our great success in the market place, we have decided to significantly grow our team to expand our coverage in the Montreal market.
Accordingly, we are seeking to hire Pre-sales engineer based out of our offices in MOntreal.
The Pre-sales engineer is the main technical support of the Sales Department. This person will understand the customer requirements, determine the technical solutions to meet those requirements and will support provisioning on on-site support and installations.
The Pre-sales Engineer will understand customers’ commercial and technical requirements and document the technical solution to satisfy such requirement.
Assist the Commercial Department on completing the Provisioning forms with the appropriate, accurate and complete information.
To be the link between the sales and the customer on behalf of CONVERGIA, where the customer solution requires and technical support.
To install at the customer site any equipment (voice, data, routers, switches, etc) required to provide services to the customer.
Be the first level of support for USA customers ensuring fast and effective solution of any reported problem.
Responsible for logging and following up with Engineering, issues regarding SIP trunking provisioning and support.
Support NOC activities concerning Monitoring, Ticketing and Provisioning.
Coordinates with other staff and outside contractors for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
Available on-call to handle emergency situations.
Collect, compile, and maintain VoIP network diagrams.
Assists in planning, designing, developing and implementing voice and data network systems as directed for the purpose of ensuring new systems/equipment adapt with VOIP, data and existing systems.
-5-7 years experience in similar position
-General knowledge on: connectivity (last mile fiber optics, radio, SDH, carrier Ethernet), IP, structured cabling, trunking, cabling, QOS, firewalls (LAN), IPPBX configuration and implementation
-Avaya certified (preferred)
-Knowledge of Avaya Phone Systems in and out, ability to configure Avaya phone systems
-Experience making presentations and demos
-Knowledge of Data solutions / Networking
-Ability to communicate fluently (verbal and written) in French and English Excellent technical/commercial communication skills
-Basic knowledge of marketing concepts, including pricing
-Advanced user of Excel, MSproject and Powerpoint
-Able to work in a team environment
-General knowledge in Asterisk installation and configuration.
-Strong organizational and sales skills
-Access to a vehicle
