The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD), headquartered in Chilliwack, BC, is comprised of six
member municipalities and eight Electoral Areas, each containing numerous unique communities,
cultures and landscapes. The FVRD covers roughly 13,900 square kilometers, and delivers over 100
separate services to over 275,000 residents in the beautiful Fraser Valley.

We are seeking an energetic and customer focused individual to join our Information Technology
Team. Under the direction of the Manager of E9-1-1 and Information Technology the Network
Analyst I will be working as part of team responsible for providing technical support to the
communication systems, audio visual systems, computer systems and computer network.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by an accredited post-secondary two-year diploma

in Computer Sciences; plus the designation as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
combined with two (2) years’ experience administering a Microsoft Windows network and
servers; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a support role in a network environment,

utilizing pc based computer hardware, MS Windows workstation and server based
operating systems, MS Office applications, email and other common software applications.

• Working knowledge and understanding of computer software, hardware and networks

and their relationship to the customer/user group.

• Ability to install, configure, and maintain computer software, hardware and networks in an

analytical and logical manner.

• Ability to analyze computer systems problems and define and implement solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to remain courteous, tactful and diplomatic in

dealing with internal and external clients.

• Working knowledge of software applications such as, iCity, Tempest, iManage, ESRI.
• Must be in possession of a valid Driver’s Licence.

The start rate for this full-time Union position is $27.20 per hour plus a comprehensive benefit
package. Upon successful completion of the required six month probationary period the wage
will increase to $32.00 per hour.
