Are you looking for an Entry Level Health and Safety Administrative role that can launch your career? Frac Shack is currently seeking a team- focused Health and Safety Administrator for our main office in Acheson, who has a great can-do attitude and wants to build a career with us!


This position is located in Acheson, AB and will report to the HSE Manager. The Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for fostering a culture of health and safety and for coordinating, scheduling and documenting occupational health and safety orientation and training. The HSE administrator assists in planning, developing, implementing and administering health, safety and emergency plans, programs and activities. You will develop strong communications with field supervisors, field personnel, and department managers while supporting all Frac Shack divisions. Periodic travel to the United States for training purposes may be required. Must hold a valid passport for entry to United States.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain the Training and incident Matrix
  • Update current drivers lists
  • Conduct monthly facility inspections
  • Purchase PPE through current vendors
  • Coordinating PPE deliveries with employees
  • Track and monitor the Annual PPE allowances
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required (must hold or be willing to attain ACSA COR Auditor Designation)
  • Schedule prepare and facilitate the General Frac Shack Safety Orientation
  • Provide Administrative support for disability management

Responsible for field documentation review and summaries including but not limited to:

  • Incident review
  • Filing
  • Toolbox Talks
  • Inspections
  • Near Misses
  • FLRA’s
  • JSA’S
  • Maintain and control the distribution of all HSE manuals and related documents
  • Maintain contractor qualification information
  • Audit policy and procedure review
  • Maintain HSE records and statistics
  • Maintain the Incident Reporting and Management system and ensure all serious/major incident actions are closed out and communicated as required
  • Maintain all HSE training records and notifies Managers/workers of training requirements and or deficiencies
  • Other duties as determined from time to time


  • High School Diploma
  • Health & Safety Administrators Designation (HSA) or higher
  • HSE Diploma – preferred
  • ISNetworld – preferred
  • A minimum of intermediate knowledge in all Microsoft Office programs (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Internet Explorer
  • Can-do attitude is a must
  • Strong team player who is willing to go above and beyond
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Always flexible, approachable and professional
  • Able to keep several projects moving forward at once
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable contacting vendors, customers, and staff via phone or e-mail
  • Ability to prioritize is a must
