Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary function for this role will be to facilitate the risk and release management portfolio for a global technology team known as End User Computing (EUC). The group is responsible technology infrastructure related to productivity, collaboration, messaging, mobile and other related products. The Risk & Release Coordinator will report to the global Risk Officer and will be closely aligned with the work efforts of Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations personnel within EUC who are aligned with various technologies. Responsibilities will include scope definition and coordination of work to remediate technology risk as directed by the Risk Office and drive implementation through the various product release cycles. The role will be partnered with a Release Manager within the team to ensure that the work efforts are properly assigned, managed, prioritized and reported effectively within the department and Firm level initiatives. A successful candidate may have had a work history as an engineer, operational or administrator role within a technology team with recent work experience as a Project/Product Manager, Release Manager.

Specific role responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with the global Risk Officer to define work requirements
  • Work with platform, engineering and development teams as needed to define body of work and applicable release plans
  • Engage with Release Manager to coordinate tooling, reporting, metrics, etc.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders as needed to ensure work is progressing as required
  • Regular meetings with the Risk Officer for guidance and status reporting
  • Participate in meetings with the global PMO and/or Risk organizations

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Soft Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are critical, since the candidate will be working with global technical staff as well as management executives
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Must be able to articulate requirements and strategies to effect change and influence decisions
  • Must be able to work with large data sets and have advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to build consensus across multiple work groups
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple work streams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Functional Skills

  • Experience implementing or managing SDLC, IDLC and PLC principles?An understanding of enterprise class technology solutions (Microsoft core infrastructure products, Windows / Unix platforms, messaging, collaboration and mobile)
  • A working knowledge of applicable frameworks (i.e. ITIL, Agile / Scrum, PMP/PMF, Agile, NIST, etc.) that may be applicable will benefit the candidate
  • No formal risk credentials are required, however knowledge of contemporary technology risk themes is a must Education College / University educated Applicable work experience
