The Materials & Logistics Coordinator performs a variety of tasks and is responsible for shipping, receiving, tool crib inventory, and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from the organization. The Materials & Logistics Coordinator must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any
necessary equipment, such as a forklift. Other responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming shipments to verify contents and quality and assist in the scheduling of freight appointments. The Materials & Logistics Coordinator must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming and outgoing items. The Materials & Logistics Coordinator works closely with each division in Fortis and reports to the Projects Group Manager.
The Materials & Logistics Coordinator must possess/demonstrate the following skill set:

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Grade 12
Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving, or a similar role.
General knowledge of mining/industrial construction tools & equipment would be considered an asset
Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial but not required (ie.Forklift)
Ability to complete waybills and other shipping documentation.
Drivers license required
