Job Summary Reporting to the Team Lead Tests, the Senior Specialist – Infrastructure is seen as the go-to person in terms of virtual environment, back-end and tools, for the Test and Validation teams. Roles and responsabilities – Setup / configuration/ maintenance of physical and virtual environments for the Test and Validation teams. – Maintain environments up to date during testing by installing software iterations on equipment – Maintain the schemas/diagrams of all environments up to date – In charge of Test and Validation labs (follow up of configurations, equipment) – Execute test protocols for technical tests – Keep the technical test protocols up to date – Execute exploratory technical tests – Report and document any found defects in the appropriate database – Adequately define the severity of any found defects – Resolve defects tickets – Proactively and effectively communicate the status of projects – Respect project delivery dates and advise of any possible schedule deviation – Present/discuss test results with internal and external clients. – Develop dummy databases for the different test and validation needs – Manage the inventory of equipment, dummy databases, system images and network.

  • Conduct risk analysis and define scope of test – Update the test and validation platforms – Analyze the change request documents – Automate complex test cases – Design test/validation plans without supervision – Writes test/validation reports for internal and external clients, without supervision – Provide technical support and expertise to the Production and Deployment groups. – participate to client acceptances when needed – Implementation of test automation strategy and supervision – Revise and approve test plans – Create complex test protocols based on requirements and the ” Use Cases ” system – In charge of Test Rig 1 and 2 (follow up of configurations, equipment) – Revise and approve test/validation reports – Manage large test projects and the teams involved – Replace the team lead when needed Qualifications et expériences – 8+ years’ experience in the testing of software – University degree or DEC in a related field – Strong knowledge of virtual environments – Excellent analytical abilities – Ability to work in a team, to have technical discussions and to communicate complex concepts – Must be able to communicate well in both French and English, written and spoken – Must be able to function in a dynamic environment – Must have good management and problem-solving skills – Good knowledge of Windows environments – Knowledge of scripting tools is important – Must have an excellent ability to evaluate the risk factors associated with tests – Knowledge of systems with server applications is important – Good expertise of test automation is a must (e.g. : Test Complete) – Good expertise in data basis is a must – Good experience in coordination of technical projects. – Good experience with PostgreSQL – Knowledge of virtual environments (asset) – Knowledge of ClearQuest and/or JIRA is a plus – Knowledge of Linux environments is a plus
