We are looking to hire a team member for our Dealer Support Department at our Sherwood Park head office. This is a full-time permanent position (3-month probation period will apply). Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (English & French).

We underwrite and administer various group creditor insurance and mechanical breakdown insurance policies as well as guarantee a number of protection products related to the sale of motor vehicles. The Dealer Support Department is a customer service based/administrative department providing service, product knowledge and training to our external field staff & authorized dealers (1800+ located in all provinces across the country), responding to customer inquiries, and assisting in the development and testing of web-based applications related to the sale of our products. Some of Dealer Support’s tasks include:

  • Handling various underwriting situations: Processing over-financed and over-age exceptions
  • Assisting our dealers in obtaining and renewing restricted agent’s licensing specific to the sale of group creditor insurance and mechanical breakdown insurance
  • Trouble shooting, testing and providing support for our online dealer resources
  • Providing customer service via phone and email
  • Customized written correspondence to customers
  • Management and administration of all dealer files on company database

This is not a sales position and does not require any previous knowledge or education in the insurance industry. Knowledge of general loan/lease principles would be an asset. The suitable candidate will be a quick learner, problem solver, analytic thinker, team player, be able to perform under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized and able to multitask, and have exceptional customer service and communication skills. Candidates must be confident and comfortable navigating/analyzing new software/web-based applications. Fluency in English & French (oral & written) is preferred.
