Under the leadership of the Hoito Restaurant manager and the FATB Board of Directors, the Intern will manage the events and cultural activities at the historic Finnish Labour Temple. In addition to managing events, all rentals, logistics, supplies and inventory, this is an exciting opportunity in the start-up of new venues such as an outdoor market and bistro bar. The Intern will lead innovative marketing and communication strategies, working with a variety of artisans, groups and businesses. Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a university or college graduate that has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study. Preference will be given to candidates who possess first aid, Smart Serve and WHMIS certifications as well as a valid driver’s license and vehicle. The ability to communicate in Finnish would be considered an asset because the Intern will be working with members of the Finnish community. French is also considered an asset.
