Job Summary:

The Coil Tubing Supervisor coordinates and oversees the coiled tubing service line work at the well site. This advanced level position is responsible for handling the more complex, hazardous, and/or high profile jobs, while providing quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed. The primary role of the coiled tubing supervisor is to manage the in-field coiled tubing operations, and ensure personnel safety and equipment functionality on job locations.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all necessary equipment and personnel are assigned and ready for mobilization.
  • Supervises all coil tubing, pumping, nitrogen and potential hazardous chemical operations at the job site.
  • Supervises all Company Personnel assigned to the job site.
  • Operates fluid pumps, nitrogen pumps, coil tubing units, and all associated equipment without supervision.
  • Conducts the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the coiled tubing units, N2 units, fluid pumps and other auxiliary equipment by completing pre and post job inspections.
  • Conducts the maintenance and general upkeep of the coiled tubing units and related equipment.
  • Monitors, inspects and adjusts all major equipment during operations to ensure the equipment’s adequate operation, such adjusting pump and injection rates.
  • Trains Equipment Operators, Service Technician I’s, Service Technician II’s and Service Supervisor Trainee’s in equipment operations and procedures.
  • Writes accurate job tickets, daily logs, pre- and post job reports, JSA’s and other documentation as required.
  • Maintains a safe work area or job site by following the company’s HSE and Standard Operating Procedures manuals.
  • Enforce all workplace safety, environmental and national safety code policies and regulations.
  • Assist in the evaluation and training of operators under his/her supervision and across the company.

Job Requirements:

  • Complies with all Company & Regulatory HS&E & Quality and IT standards and policies. Wears all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required & maintains required HS&E & SQ certifications up-to-date.
  • Be able to work in land and offshore environments. (riding Boats, Semi Subs, Rigs, Helicopters)
  • Past experience with water survival is recommended
  • Working at heights. Be comfortable wearing a harness and being in a man rider. Must not have a fear working at heights.
  • Working in hot climates/wet environments and extreme cold environments
  • Be willing to be away from home 2-3 weeks at a time.
  • Be fit for duty (Physical labor is involved)
  • Be comfortable working with pressure controlled equipment
