The Maintenance Supervisor (DDH and Stamping) will lead and direct skilled trades and/or production team members in all aspects of activities at the Brampton Assembly Plant, DDH Department with the focus on ensuring line readiness for production start up. The Maintenance Supervisor (DDH and Stamping) will be responsible for addressing throughput, and downtime related issues with equipment in a production environment; coordinating activities according to World Class manufacturing (WCM) standards (particularly the Autonomous and Professional Maintenance Pillar activities) while impacting the overall equipment effectiveness, through a systematic approach of planning and executing key maintenance enablers and coordinating all activities utilizing the TMS system.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering discipline required; or Journeyman status with minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must possess a working knowledge of advanced technical problem solving tools
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the plant from hourly represented employees to senior leadership as required
  • Goal oriented and a self-starter and ability to lead and manage in a team based structure
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Green Belt, Red X, Six Sigma training
  • Manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability and passion to coach/mentor/develop team members
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Strong background in LEAN manufacturing systems
  • Experience with RS Logix, PLC-5, Control Logix, Allen Bradley Drive Systems, machine installation, Nachi and ABB robotic automation and application
