FCL invites applications for the position of Centre Store Category Manager (Temporary – up to 1 year) in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The Centre Store Category Manager will develop and execute category plans for over 200 Food locations that operate in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). The primary responsibility of this position is in the areas of Product Assortment and Marketing. The Category Manager will work closely with Category Coordinators and Retail Pricing Specialists to ensure plan-o-grams and pricing strategies match category development team initiatives. They will also manage all vendor interaction, collaboration and negotiations. The Category Manager is responsible for 1 direct report (Category Coordinator) and will oversee their training, career development and performance management.
Reporting to the Category Development Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
The successful candidate will have a University degree in Marketing or General Business and 3 to 5 years of category management experience in the food industry.
