The Manager of Residential Programming reports directly to the Program Director of Residential Services & Quality Control and is a member of the Agency Management Team. Responsible for overseeing the Clinical Case Manager/Case Worker team; staff development; input to, and some, delivery staff training and professional development. Oversees all Individual Program Planning; liaison with agency adjunct and clinical services; acts as primary contact for clinical consultants as necessary; oversees development of general and wellness programming in the residential programs in accordance with the standards set out by the FASD Life’s Journey.

The Program Manager provides leadership, mentoring and coaching to support the programming supervisors and staff in the delivery of programs and services. The incumbent establishes a respectful work environment; models and supports positive working relationships; adheres to agency policies and demonstrates high ethical standards and boundaries.

Responsibilities also include effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders; fostering teamwork and collaboration; demonstrating culturally competent service and confidentiality as norms. Also included is advocating for participants and liaison with all stakeholders as required.

  • Three to five years’ experience managing or supervising in a human services setting.
  • Background in staff development and training.
  • Preference to social work training and academic background.
  • Experience working with residential homes, cluster resources, foster resources in a social service setting from a case management perspective.
  • Experience with programming for participants considered high risk/high needs.
  • Completion of Post-Secondary Degree, preference to Bachelor or Masters Degree in Social Work.
  • Ability to work with the Elder, Psychologist and Psychiatrist.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the management team.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record Search, a Child Abuse Registry Check and an Adult Abuse Registry Check.

Applications must possess current certification in First Aid/CPR and NVCI.

A current Driver’s Abstract is required.
