We have exciting career opportunities for Managers in our IT Advisory practice for professionals with broad expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). Their main role would be to facilitate the M&A integration process, working with cross-functional teams made up of members of both the acquiring and acquired organizations. The goal is to support our clients’ efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in connection with the development and implementation of technology solutions. Our experience is also important to the analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, technology infrastructure design, and vendor selection decisions that support the line of business IT organizations of our clients. These positions fall within our IT Advisory practice and help our clients enhance the operating effectiveness of Operations functions by assisting them as they shift their emphasis from transaction-level control, processing and reporting to more value driven, decision support and analytics. Responsibilities
Manage IT project teams through all phases of the M&A integration process
Advise clients on a variety of business process issues that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization’s capabilities. Use business process, organizational and technology capabilities and knowledge across all core business units.
Team up with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances to provide implementation of technology solutions.
Participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management.
Actively assist in business development activities including preparing presentations and attending pursuit meetings with clients to help sell work.
To qualify, candidates must have:
a comprehensive experience and understanding of the M&A process including pre-deal due diligence, costing, negotiations, sign, close, and post close short- and long- term post-merger integration
a bachelor’s degree and approximately 6-10 years of related work experience
a degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
a proven track record in managing and supervising teams of technology advisors through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture, design, development, implementation, post-implementation, conversion and testing
extensive prior experience in development and creation of new business opportunities
strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills
ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies. It is essential that the successful candidate possess a deep knowledge of technical architecture design and have a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in financial systems architecture.
