The Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice is a specialty advisory unit that provides integrated market, credit and operational risk management; operations improvement, business integration, and strategic cost management; and regulatory and treasury advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants. FSRM includes individuals who have industry, client and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. Our teams work together to coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory and business performance services to a variety of clients, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations. Responsibilities The FSRM Manager will be involved in all aspects of the delivery of financial risk services to advisory and assurance client accounts covering risk governance frameworks; risk identification, quantification and reporting for credit, market and operational risks; regulatory and economic capital assessments; compliance with Basel II and III requirements; the ICAAP program; enterprise stress testing models and other initiatives such as living wills. The Manager role will be responsible for engagement oversight and delivery; team management and coaching; engagement execution; engagement economics and reporting, as well as developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients. They will also be involved in practice development initiatives ranging from business development to staff and team development.
Requirements: To deliver these comprehensive risk services, we are looking for individuals with 5+ years of relevant experience and attributes in a number of the following areas:

• University degree required.
• Bilingual skills in French and English required
• Experience working with the Basel II regulatory capital requirements for the wholesale, commercial and retail portfolios;
• Experience with the credit lifecycle within a commercial bank including the prospecting, origination, adjudication, administration and workout functions;
• Experience working with simulation based and parametric methodologies for computing general and specific market risk;
• Experience working in derivative trading operations and structured credit products
• Knowledge of the requirements for compliance with the Market Risk Amendment and other Basel III initiatives;
• Experience with enterprise risk management frameworks such as COSO ERM and ISO 31000;
• Experience working in a banking environment with a well-developed risk management culture and infrastructure or comparable experience working as an advisor to financial services companies;
• Knowledge of the RCSA process, key risk indicators and measurement methodologies for operational risk
• Knowledge vendor application systems supporting risk such as KMV, Credit Manager, RiskWatch, RiskMetrics;
• Knowle d ge of asset liability management and measurement in Treasury operations is desirable;
• Possess the desire and ability to work closely with quantitative and technology professionals on engagements;
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated knowledge in credit, market risk and operational risk measurement and management;
• Possess strong communication, presentation and technical writing skills to describe ideas, concepts and issues that involve interpretation, analysis and assessment of complex conceptual topics;
• Possess a self starting attitude, an ability to think outside the box and thrives on new challenges; and
• Possess a willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs.
