The ideal candidate will be self-directed and results oriented with strong communication, relationship building and presentation skills. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving specification and sales of all Express Capital products through various network channels. e.g. commercial and sba financing. They maintain sales links with key commercial and real estate decision makers.

Constant communication with new prospects will be required in the pursuit to close commercial business on behalf of the company.

This position reports directly to our Director of Sales.
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Proactively generating new business relationships and building previous relationships.
  • Source network partners via calling and emailing from across North America for investment opportunities. You will work on developing long lasting partnerships with your referral contacts. You will help to determine solutions to help them build income and business. You will offer advice to help them build their business as well.
  • Assist in developing your business partners to originate and close more commercial business
  • Be active in the local business community by effectively networking within various associations and chambers of commerce in order to develop business relationships and obtain partners.
  • A strong knowledge of Facebook and social media to generate new contacts.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or related area required
  • 5+ years of territory sales experience in related industry preferred
  • High-level customer relationship building skills
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation a must
  • Excellent Planning and analysis skills
  • Strong computer skills required; proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook a must as well as experience with data warehouse sales reporting systems (i.e. Cognos, Oracle CRM) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated selling skills required
  • Excellent high-level written and verbal communication skills required
