HPLC Analyst

Sets-up and operates automated laboratory instrumentation such as auto-titrators, UV spectrophotometers, HPLC and GC.
Analyses of raw materials and finished products using instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques according to established in-house and compendial regulatory requirements.
Interprets and reports testing results, as required, and assists in investigations of OOS generated results in the lab.
Performs general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Troubleshoots instrumentation problems and provides guidance and training to analysts.
Maintains compliance to all health and safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and regulatory requirements.
Performs additional related duties as assigned as well as working on evenings or week-ends as required.
Performs data review as and when required by the lab
Skills
- A University degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum five years experience in a pharmaceutical (preferable) laboratory.
- Able to operate a variety of laboratory instruments such as AA, HPLC or GC.
- Detail oriented, accuracy in work essential
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Self-starter and resourceful
- Familiarity with computer programs such as Word, and Excel
