Fraser Valley Digital Marketing Firm Looking for a Website Front and Back End Developer

This is a remote “work-from-home” position where you can enjoy a flexible work schedule. The number of hours per week depends on how well you do your job, how quickly it’s done, how dependable you are, and how many other skills you can bring to the table.

THIS IS JUST A STARTING WAGE: NEW HIRES WILL BE REVIEWED FOR HIGHER WAGES AFTER 30 DAYS

Front End Technical Skills:

• Expert level of hand coding in valid HTML 5/XHTML and CSS. Solid understanding of current web WC3 standards, cross platform

compatibility, graphic design and web usability principles. * Ability to take a Photoshop design file and translate it into a “pixel perfect”, responsive WordPress customized theme.

• Ability to visually code appealing sites that feature a user-friendly design and functionality.
• Have a good understanding of effectvie page layout, image optimization and attention to SEO optimization detail drilling right down to proper alt tags and href tags etc… in other words – you know how to code a solid, compliant and pixel-perfect website.
• Experience in, or ability to learn extremely fast, other open source software such as Drupal, Joomla and Magento and also can hand-code a website with great efficiency.

Back End Technical Skills:

• Very effective and efficient in PHP / JQuery / Javascript / CSS / HTML(5) back-end programming
• Knowledge in server maintenance, cPanel, and security in a web hosting environment

We’re also needing you to be:

• Excellent in speaking, reading and writing in English – no exceptions.
• Passionate about the web environment and are eager to learn new skills and effective ways to build a solid website.
• Reliable, resourceful, autonomous, and responsible.
• Have amazing attention to detail
• great problem-solving skills with minimal hand-holding needed
• Willing to do other website-related tasks such as setting up landing pages, doing website updates, and connecting to newsletter service providers/setting up email auto responders etc.
