We are an IT consulting firm based in Etobicoke, Ontario and we take on various contracts from various industries. We are looking for a “general purpose” software developer on a part time basis. The role will likely grow into a permanent position over the course of 12 months as we acquire more business.

We use the word “general purpose” because we work with many technologies. We are primarily full stack web application developers who can work in ASP.NET, LAMP and NodeJS. On occasion, we have to develop with other technologies such as iOS, Android, SAP, Flash etc… We are looking for software developers who are or want to become multi-disciplined software developers. We encourage candidates of any experience level to apply. More details below:

Responsibilities

• Develops, codes, installs, tests, debugs and documents web applications.
• Works with IT and Marketing team on the best possible design to help reach business objectives.
• Maintains and supports additions, changes and revisions to web code base.
• Assist with create data flow diagrams and architecting technical solutions

Technical Skills (Mandatory)
- LAMP, ASP.NET or NodeJS
- CSS3, Javascript (JQuery)

Technical Skills (Nice to have)
- ReactJS, AngularJS, Ionic
- LESS, SASS
- Flash
- APD development for SAP
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Vagrant, Selenium
- Interest learning new tools/software as needed

Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or IT related field
- Knowledge of various web technologies, protocols and methodologies including asp.net, Ruby, Python and SQL
- Working knowledge of web application programming languages (eg. PHP, C#, Python etc…) with the ability to learn new software and technologies as necessary
- Skilled in user experience-driven design development
- Experience designing and developing web services or information retrieval
- Excellent analytical problem diagnosis, investigation and solving skills
- Results-oriented with a disciplined approach to documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
