We are seeking a full-time Dock Worker at our Mississauga Terminal.

HOURS OF WORK: Nights, Sunday to Thursday, Midnight – 8:30 a.m.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Loading/unloading refrigerated and frozen food products from trailers and trucks
• Counting and sorting freight, counting and compiling skids for furtherance to Erb terminals
• Moving product manually and via hand jack
• Recording shortages of product on bills and drivers sheets
• Completing any necessary clean up and/or sweeping, garbage etc.
• Working safely, adhering to safety policies and regulations and engaging in best practice of safety initiatives
• All other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accurate, dependable and organized
• Ability to work in cold environments
• Must be a minimum of 17 years old in order to work past 11:00 p.m. (Labour Canada Requirement)
• Ability to work well as part of a team and with management is essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to work hard
• Willingness to make safety a priority above all else
• Responsible, punctual and possessing a proven positive work record
• An understanding of food handling and refrigerated product would be an asset
