Looking to kick start your career right at the heart of business?
Employers are full of advice when it comes to recruiting great talent. Largely it’s ‘choose us’. Our approach is different. We invite you to get to know us, understand what we have to offer, and listen to what our people have to say about Grant Thornton – then decide for yourself whether that fits in with what you’re looking for. That’s our advice.

What do we offer?
A really great place to work
Grant Thornton has been recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for the last seven consecutive years. In 2014 we were also recognized by students across Canada as a Top 100 Ideal Employer.
We have more offices across Canada than any other professional services firm. Why is this important? It translates to more opportunities for you. As well, as part of a global organization with offices in more than 125 countries, we actively support international assignments for those who are interested, as well as permanent transfer opportunities around the world.
Professional and Executive Development We work hard to ensure that your transition from school to work is an enriching and positive experience. We offer extensive training and support to help you obtain your CPA designation, as well as throughout all aspects of your career. Each CPA candidate is assigned a mentor to help them prepare for their examinations, as well as a personal coach to guide them throughout their career. We also provide many opportunities to work with, and learn from, senior leaders inside the firm.
We also offer best in class management skills and leadership development opportunities to support our people as they advance along their chosen career path.
Career Opportunities Obtaining your CPA opens a world of opportunities. In addition to a career in audit, we also offer numerous career options across Canada in practice areas such as tax, corporate finance, forensic accounting, mergers and acquisitions, recovery and reorganization and many more. As a national, full-service firm with a global presence—we have what it takes to help you learn, grow, and stretch your abilities.
Flexibility At Grant Thornton we work hard. But we also know how to have fun and we respect the fact that our people have lives outside of work, which sometimes requires a flexible schedule or work arrangement.
We benchmark our compensation practices externally on a frequent and regular basis to ensure that we provide competitive compensation and benefits for our people.
Interesting and challenging Client Engagements We are privileged to work with some of Canada’s most successful private and public organizations. The profile of our clients and the nature of our services allow us to offer interesting and challenging work and assignments for our people, including our entry level professionals. At Grant Thornton you can learn more, faster.
An opportunity to Make a Difference Making a difference in the community is part of our DNA. It’s a grass roots movement that’s alive and well in all of our offices across Canada. We do it because it’s rewarding, we do it because we can, and we do it because it’s the right thing to do.
At Grant Thornton we each work hard to make a difference for our colleagues, our clients and the communities in which we work and live, every day.
We’re as pleased to see a small business thrive as a result of our advice as we are working with a multi-national organization.
