Our team develops, coordinates and executes the financial performance reporting program based on corporate strategy, operating plans and communications messaging.

Lead our financial performance reporting for both internal and external audiences through advanced analysis and insight. We turn numbers into a story in a visually impactful manner. Successful execution will improve the decision-making of ENMAX’s Board and Senior Management; and educate external audiences on our story.
Develop and implement strategic financial performance management and communications plans to help ENMAX achieve maximum value in the financial markets
Lead financial content development for key documents intended for use by both internal and external audiences including the ENMAX Operating Plan, rating agency material and materials to support Board and Shareholder meetings
Shape, articulate and translate our financial story into written and visual mediums to inform external audiences including financial markets, external audiences and Shareholder
Develop timely, consistent and meaningful financial messages for use by Senior Management including remarks and talking points for annual meetings, press releases, industry conferences, one-on-one visits, shareholder presentations and financial content on the website
Recommend communications to improve corporate perception in the financial community
Direct development of various financial submissions to the ENMAX Board and Executive, ensuring the numbers are analyzed and insight communicated effectively – lead collaborative preparation of the CFO report and all things financial
Develop and direct collaborative report design and the mechanisms to create them including internal Financial Performance Report, corporate scorecards and KPIs
Undertake on-going research regarding market, competitor and investor sentiment – competitive intelligence, analysts’ positions, stock price movements and ownership analysis
Coordinate and analyze information from internal areas to keep content current and pertinent (including material relating to corporate financials, operations and strategies) to provide narrative for senior management regarding ENMAX’s financial position
Create and maintain a financial data book containing current facts and figures on ENMAX
Prepare KPIs, tracking mechanisms and monitor financial performance metrics relative to expectations (support corporate performance tracking in this regard)
Direct ad hoc analysis, as requested, and ensure that analysis is communicated effectively to the senior management and Board level audience
Key resource to Senior Management for projects, including development of content for speeches and presentations requiring ENMAX financial data and insight
Participate as required in special projects for the CFO, Office of the President and CEO, and Shareholder Relations functions
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Management or Finance
CFA or CPA is an asset
Qualifications & Experience:
Ten years of experience in a large company or large professional firm with capital market experience
Working knowledge of Bloomberg system (or equivalent)
Investor Relations experience considered an asset
Excellent ability to build and cultivate relationships
Ability to lead and influence internal and external groups and decisions makers
Work autonomously, prioritizing and focusing the activities of the department to contribute to the successful implementation of the company’s strategy
