This position is responsible for delivering services related to capturing, validating, editing, and estimating meter data in MDM systems in preparation for timely and accurate billing. In addition, this position is also accountable for the day to day management of asset maintenance workflow and work orders within the Operation’s Department. This also includes the proper maintenance of all regulatory and asset records.

Responsibilities Include:
Ensuring meter data is captured, validated, edited, estimated and sent in a timely fashion to ensure timely billing.

Ensuring accurate and timely set ups of projects, configuration and meter reading set ups to support meter reading and providing bill ready data.

Analysing and auditing data from multiple systems to ensure integrity throughout the Meter Data Management process and resolving issues using appropriate methods.

Troubleshooting metering or data issues through various technical systems and following up on issues until proper resolution is achieved.

Ensuring meter attachments are processed timely and accurately for new properties /accounts in the CIS system, including setting up unit primes, service points and attaching meters to service points.

Investigating customer complaints related to meter or meter data.

Resolving issues related to new properties/accounts on-boarded for first billing.

Coordinating and managing daily scheduled and demand work flow based on priority requirements and workforce resource availability.

Creating, issuing and managing work orders and service requests to/from internal divisions, Operation’s internal workforce and with external service providers.

Gathering asset utilization characteristics and information to support life cycle analysis for asset sustainability and replacement cycles.

Providing technical assistance and support to field staff and third party service providers from as built records, drawings, single line diagrams and other asset records.

Ensuring completion of ongoing maintenance of key asset information and asset tracking as it pertains to equipment, systems and asset records.

Ensuring that all meter records are properly maintained, accurate and conform to Measurement Canada regulatory requirements.

Maintaining and updating as built records, files drawings and technical documentation to reflect the current state of assets deployed in the field.

Continuously seek out and introduce improvements through process changes and ideas, by maintaining a continuing awareness of new trends and developments.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of proven performance in a field related to data management.

Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Math, or Statistics or a relevant technical discipline, and /or data management experience.

Requires advanced understanding of very complex and diversified system processes, their implications across the enterprise and how data can best support the process.

Global system delivery knowledge and an understanding of metering, customer care and billing functions.

Intermediate to advanced excel skills.

Technical aptitude and familiarity.

Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.

Detail-oriented and customer focused.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of Measurement Canada legislation and regulations to deal with operating issues.

Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations, Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA), EUSA rulebook and safe work procedures.

Demonstrated ability to liaise and coordinate initiatives across business units to ensure asset information systems and applications are leveraged to maximize overall operations.

Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to balance a high volume of work and multiple priorities.
